Military vets often face financial struggles
On behalf of Stange Law Firm, PC posted in Military Divorce on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. It goes without saying that members of the military are often faced with stressful circumstances. This is especially true of those service members on active duty and stationed overseas. The possibility of a divorce generally will not help out their situation. One 36-year-old woman had spent eight years in the Army Reserves. She states that a divorce put her into a financial tailspin which resulted in her and her children having to spend time in what is called a shelter program. “When my husband
The affects of divorce upon spouses and children
On behalf of Stange Law Firm, PC posted in Family Law on Friday, January 3, 2014. Recent research concerning as to why couple’s divorce may not provide additional insight. However, this research does reiterate that divorce can be extremely stressful for both husbands and wives. There also are indications of a large number of cultural factors that go into why a divorce has taken place. More women are divorcing or separating from their spouses than in the past. Research has also indicated that divorce can have a variety of adverse health effects upon men. Unfortunately, the fear of remaining alone
Why prenuptial agreements are needed for every couple
On behalf of Stange Law Firm, PC posted in Legal Separation on Friday, December 27, 2013. At least one columnist insists that a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement is absolutely essential for any woman who plans on marrying and becoming a stay-at-home mother. The great concern should be the compensation such an individual would receive after foregoing employment during the years where they would otherwise be receiving the highest amount of earnings. It’s obviously going to be difficult for someone who has been away from the workforce to immediately pick up an occupation that will meet his or her future financial

The title of this post is perhaps one of the most common questions in any relationship across the nation because it taps into our primal nature to make order out of chaos. Now, that’s not to say that your own relationship cannot be affected by other relationships in your life, but rather it’s important to remember that sometimes things happen in our lives that are completely random and may not have anything to do with what we think they might. Divorce is a great
Women deployed much more likely to divorce than male counterpart

Missouri readers may be interested to know that the divorce rate for women in the U.S. military is more than twice that of men. Though the divorce rate for female military members has decreased these past two years, it reached an all-time high in 2011 of eight percent. The divorce rate for men in the military has remained at 2.9 percent for a number of years. One researcher theorized that women are at higher risk of facing divorce when deployed than are men. There
Domestic violence is widespread
On behalf of Stange Law Firm, PC posted in Domestic Violence on Monday, December 2, 2013. Domestic violence appears to also have affected individuals from all ages as victims in one Missouri shelter were anywhere from 14 to 70-years in age. While women go to this shelter to escape an abusive situation, part of the funding for this shelter comes from a fashion show that is put on. The event helped raise $43,000 for the shelter. According to one source, Missouri police officers were forced to respond to 41,494 reports of domestic violence during the past year. A federal government
